Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Entebbe

  • Morning: Arrive at Entebbe International Airport.
  • Transfer: Meet your guide and transfer to your accommodation in Entebbe or Kampala. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to explore Entebbe Botanical Gardens or the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre (Zoo).
  • Overnight: Stay overnight in Entebbe or Kampala.

Day 2Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

  • Morning: Have an early breakfast and depart for Kibale Forest National Park. The drive from Entebbe/Kampala to Kibale takes approximately 4-5 hours.
  • Afternoon: Arrive at your lodge near Kibale Forest, check in, and have lunch.
  • Chimpanzee Tracking: In the afternoon, head to Kibale Forest for your chimpanzee tracking experience. You’ll trek through the forest with experienced guides to find and observe a habituated chimpanzee community.
  • Evening: Return to your lodge, relax, and enjoy dinner.

Day 3Optional Activities and Departure

  • Morning: Depending on your preferences and additional activities included in your itinerary, you might choose to:
  • Go for a second chimpanzee tracking experience (optional).
  • Take a guided nature walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, known for its diverse birdlife and other primates.
  • Afternoon: After lunch, begin your journey back to Entebbe or Kampala.
  • Evening: Arrive in Entebbe or Kampala, where you can either spend the night or catch your flight home, depending on your travel arrangements.
