Itinerary

Day 1 ARRIVAL IN NAIROBI

  • Morning: Arrive in Nairobi. Depending on your arrival time, you may visit attractions like the Giraffe Centre or the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust to see orphaned elephants.
  • Afternoon: Explore Nairobi National Park, a unique wildlife reserve located just outside the city where you can spot wildlife such as lions, giraffes, and rhinos against the backdrop of Nairobi’s skyline.
  • Evening: Check into your hotel in Nairobi. You might consider dining at one of Nairobi’s fine restaurants to experience local cuisine.

Day 2 NAIROBI TO MASAI MARA

  • Morning: Depart Nairobi early for the drive to Masai Mara National Reserve (about 5-6 hours).
  • Afternoon: Arrive at Entim camp in Masai Mara in time for lunch.
  • Late Afternoon: Enjoy a game drive in the Masai Mara, known for its abundant wildlife, including the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, rhino).
  • Evening: Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge or camp in Masai Mara.

Day 3FULL DAY SAFARI IN MASAI MARA

  • Early morning game drive to catch the wildlife at its most active time.
  • Return to your accommodation for breakfast and some rest.
  • After lunch, head out for another game drive, exploring different parts of the reserve.
  • Keep an eye out for the famous Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhinoceros) as well as cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, and wildebeests.

Day 4HOT AIR BALLOON SAFARI AND CULTURAL EXPERIENCE

  • Start your day with an unforgettable hot air balloon safari over the Masai Mara at sunrise. This offers a unique perspective of the landscape and wildlife.
  • After landing, enjoy a bush breakfast in the savannah.
  • In the afternoon, visit a local Maasai village to learn about their traditional way of life, culture, and customs.

Day 5NATURE WALK AND CONSERVATION EXPERIENCE

  • Take a guided nature walk with experienced trackers to learn about the smaller wildlife, plants, and birdlife of the Masai Mara.

Day 6 FINAL GAME DRIVE AND DEPARTURE

  • Start your day with a final early morning game drive, giving you a chance to spot any animals you may have missed during your stay.
  • Return to your accommodation for breakfast and check-out.
  • Transfer back to Nairobi or onward to your next destination, concluding your memorable Masai Mara safari.
