MURCHISON FALLS AND BWINDI IMPENETRABLE
NILE AND MOUNTAIN GORILLA SAFARI

Entebbe, Murchison Falls National Park, and Bwindi Impenetrable National Park are three iconic destinations in Uganda, each offering unique experiences that highlight the country’s natural beauty and cultural richness.

Entebbe:

Entebbe is a picturesque town located on the shores of Lake Victoria, about 40 kilometers south of Uganda’s capital city, Kampala. It is most famous for being the location of Uganda’s international airport and the former seat of the colonial government. Today, Entebbe is a gateway to Uganda’s natural wonders and wildlife adventures. The town itself boasts botanical gardens, a wildlife education center, and beautiful beaches along Lake Victoria.

Murchison Falls National Park:

Murchison Falls National Park is Uganda’s largest national park, spanning over 3,840 square kilometers. It is named after the breathtaking Murchison Falls, where the mighty Nile River forces its way through a narrow gorge, plunging dramatically into the Devil’s Cauldron below. The park is renowned for its diverse wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, lions, and a variety of bird species. Visitors can enjoy game drives, boat safaris on the Nile, and hiking to the top of the falls for stunning views.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park:

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in southwestern Uganda. It is one of the most biologically diverse areas on Earth and is home to roughly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. Trekking through the dense forest to encounter these gentle giants is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for many travelers. Apart from gorilla trekking, Bwindi offers opportunities for birdwatching, nature walks, and cultural encounters with the Batwa pygmies, who are indigenous to the region.

This itinerary provides a balanced exploration of Uganda’s natural wonders, focusing on wildlife in Murchison Falls and the unique gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Adjustments can be made based on your interests and available time. Make sure to check travel advisories and local conditions before finalizing your plans.
